Anchor Lanes Monday Night Ladies
2023-2025 League Officers – Voted 4/3/23 on last night of league

1. The league will consist of 5 teams, 4 bowlers per team. They will be sanctioned by USBC.
2. A legal line up will consist of minimum of 2 rosters bowlers per night. A team may only have 1 blind per league night. Example: Roster, Roster, Sub, Blind.
3. All bowlers must be 18 years of age and must be out of High School to be able to bowl in the league.
4. The league will bowl on Monday night for 31 weeks beginning Sept 9th, 2024 and ending April 14th, 2025.
5. On the first night of bowling, handicaps will be based on averages established after 3 games.
6. The league will bowl 2-15 week half’s with a roll off/sweeper on week 31. Prize money will be paid out at the end of the season.
7. The last night (week 31) will be a fun night with a pins over average tournament. Each team must have 4 bowlers here, but, any Monday night bowler can bowl this night. It is not limited to a 4 person team. It will be an individual tournament with the top 50% of bowlers getting prize money. All money goes into the prize fund this night, $12.00 per bowler entered. Prize money will be paid out at the end of the night.
8. The Roll off Must still be a 4 person team.
9. The method of individual handicapping will be used. The handicap allowance will be 90% and shall be figured on the difference between the bowler’s average and the scratch figure of 200. Bowling the BYE – Teams must bowl within 40 pins of their team average each game to win the game and within 120 pins for the series to win the match.
10. Absentee (blind) score will be a ghost average, which will be the league average as of the week the bowler does not have an established average, such as the first night of league.
11. The league will bowl against the team on the same set of lanes as them. They will bowl for 2pts a game and 3pts for series.
12. Practice will start automatically at 6:35pm and end at 6:45pm with announcements after practice. Bowling begins immediately after. At least 3 members must be present at the start of the game or the game shall be forfeited. A bowler who arrives late may enter the game provided 5 frames have not been completed. If more that 5 frames are already bowled, the late bowler can make up the game after the league is done.
13. Weekly league fees are $12.00 ($10.00 bowling, $2.00 prize fund/league expenses).
14. Sanction fee is $22.00 per bowler and must be paid on the first night bowled.
15. Sponsor fee is $30.00 and should be paid by September 30th, 2024.
16. Bowlers may sub for any team except if they are bowling against the team they are a member of, unless approved by their own team. Only members on the team roster may bowl in a roll off.
17. Teams may be permitted to bowl unopposed in an emergency or inclement weather situation. The games must be made up within 14 days. Your team must call Anchor Lanes if they will not be bowling and to reschedule the make up games. If your team does not make up the games within 14 days, you forfeit the games and will not earn any points for that night. All league money will still need to be paid.
    Individuals can make up their games in the case of an emergency, but the scores must be made up within 6 days of the night missed.
18. Anchor Lanes will buy the 1st place team trophy or give a cash award of $25.00 to the team.
19. Anchor Lanes will be adding 425 per team in the league to the end of the year prize fund. The league decided to use this money to add to the end of the year prize fund.
20. We will not have a banquet this year. We will have a bust up night on April 14th (our last league night). We will start bowling at 6:30 on this night only.
21. December 23rd will be our Christmas celebration where everyone brings a pot luck item.
22. Election of officers for the 2025-2027 leagues will be held on the bust up night, after league bowling has ended. The current league officers will be the nomination committee for the next year’s officers. The elected officers will serve a 2 year term.

Elkhart Lake Wednesday Night Ladies
League Rules 2024-2025

1. The league will consist of 6 teams, 4 bowlers per team. They will be sanctioned by
   USBC. The league shall use USBC bylaws and rules along with its own rules.
2. All bowlers must be 18 years of age and out of High School to bowl in the league.
3. A Legal line up will consist of minimum of 2 rostered bowlers per night. A team may only have 1 blind per league night. Example (Roster, Roster, Sub, Blind)
4. The league will bowl on Wednesday nights for 31 weeks beginning Sept 4th, 2024 and ending April 16th, 2025. April 23rd, 2025 will be used for a buffer week in case of snow or roll off week.
5. All bowlers will establish their average the first night they bowl.
6. The league will bowl 2-15 week sessions, with prize money paid out at the end of the season based on points won.
7. The method of individual handicapping will be used. The handicap allowance will be 90% and shall be figured on the difference between the bowler’s average and the scratch figure of 230.
8. Absentee (blind) score will be a ghost average, which will be the league average as of that week the bowler is missing, less 20 pins per game. A vacancy score of 125 will be used only when an absent bowler does not have an established average, such as the first night of the league.
9. The league will bowl against the team on the same set of lanes as them. They will bowl for 2pts a game and 3pts for series.
10. Practice will start automatically at 6:50pm and end at 7pm. Bowling begins immediately after. At least three bowlers must be present at the start of the game or the game shall be forfeited. Any bowler who arrives after 5 frames have been completed can make up game 1 after league that night. The late bowler may enter and bowl games 2 and 3 with their team.

17. The banquet will be held April 16th 2025, the last night of bowling. Bowling will start at 6:30 that night. Teams will bring a pot luck for the banquet.
18. Election of officers will be held at the spring meeting. Officer positions will be 2 year terms. The team with the fewest points after the 1st 15wk session will be the nominating committee. It is preferred to have at least three names per office submitted on the nomination form.
19. Children are not allowed in the bowlers seating area. Please remember to help out non bowlers with wet shoes in the bowler’s area.
20. Snow days: Anchor Lanes will make the decision for calling league off for snow, teams will be notified by 5:00 p.m. If Anchor Lanes does not call off league and your team does not bowl, you will have 2 weeks to make up your scores.
21. Bowling a BYE. The team that bowls the BYE will be bowling against their team average minus 10 pins per bowler or 40 pins less per team per game.
22. Any additions or changes to these rules must be made by consent of every team captain. The last night will be a fun night with a pins over average tournament. Each team must have 4 bowlers here, but, any Wednesday night bowler can bowl this night. It is not limited to a 4 person team. It will be an individual tournament with the top 50% of
    bowlers getting prize money. All money goes into the prize fund this night, $12.00 per bowler entered. Prize money will be handed out at the banquet. The Roll Off Must still be a 4 person team.

League Start Time: Practice @ 6:45pm, followed by announcements with League @ 7pm

1. All bowlers must be 18 years of age and be out of High School to bowl in the league.

3. This is a handicap league, using 90% of the team average difference each night.
4. Open substitution is allowed with no team roster limit.
5. Bowling the BYE – Teams must bowl within 50 pins of their average each game to win
   the game and within 150 pins for the series to win the match.
6. VACANCY / BLIND-Use 190 for average, 170 for score
7. The previous year’s average will be used until a bowler completes 9 games. Bowlers
   without a book average from the league will establish their average the first night they
   bowl.

Points:
The league will bowl against the team on the same set of lanes as them. They will bowl on a 9 point system, 2pts for each game total pins and 3pts for series total pins.
Forfeit:
A team that forfeits must still pay all league fees and prize money for the forfeited week. The
team receiving the forfeit must bowl that evening.
Snow:
Anchor Lanes has the ability to call off the league due to a snow storm. Teams will be notified
by 5:00pm if league is called off.
Make up:
Teams not able to field a team for a league session have one week to make up that session.
Captains should contact the opposing team captain when a conflict occurs.
Season:
The League is split into 2 – 13 week ½. The league will have 13 teams, so each team will bowl
against every team once per half and have 1 bye each half. Week 14 – Jan 2nd will be a Fab 5
tournament with a meal included. All league bowlers are invited to be here that evening. Week
28 – April 10th will be a roll off between the first and second half winners, any ties for a half will
be broke by their head to head competition for that half. (Points Won.) Week 28 will also be a
team pins over average tournament with all teams except the team with the fewest amount of
combined first and second half wins. That team will use week 27 scores for the pins over average
tournament for the prize money. There will again be a meal included on week 28 which is for
ALL bowlers.
Prize Money and tournament winnings will be paid out on week 14 and 28.
Bowling will begin at 6:30 on Jan 2nd and April 10th when we have the meals and tournaments.
It is still mandatory that all teams show up for the 14th and 28th Week.

Bowling this year will be the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays and any 5ht that fall within the month.
We do NOT bowl on Friday Nov 22nd and Dec 27th
The league will consist of 13 teams and will bowl 23 total weeks.
We will bowl two 11 week 1/2s for a total of 22 weeks.
Week 23 (April 18th) will be roll off/sweeper with the banquet of follow. Bowling will start at
6:30 this night.

1. No one under the age of 18 or High School students may bowl in the league.
2. Will follow USBC guideline rules as published in their book.
3. Make Up Rule – Any bowler unable to make it due to an emergency situation will have 6 days to make the bowling up. Any team unable to make it due to an emergency or inclement weather will have 14 days to make it up.
4. 13 Team League - One team will have a bye each week – standings will be based on win percentage instead of points won because each team will not bowl the same number of weeks in the halves or for the season.
5. Handicap – Pins over the team average Example Your team average is 600. Your team rolls 603 for the game and the other team rolls 601; your team would win the point.
6. Point System – We will use a 9 Point System - 2 points per game win
   3 points for totals

In the case of an odd number of teams and a BYE, the team bowling against a bye must bowl within 30 pins of your team average for a game and within 90 pins for totals to win any points.

Blind Score – Blind will be the bowler with the most games minus 20 pins per game.

Roll Off between the 1st and 2nd half winners will be week 23 to determine the league champion. Any tie for a ½ will be broken by your total pins when the 2 teams tied bowled against each other in that ½.

Use last year’s average for first night. If not a league bowler, use highest book average from the 2023-2024 season New bowlers will establish average the first night of bowling.
